Serving Boston Students Since 1985
The Talented and Gifted (TAG) Latino Program and Project ALERTA have served the academic, personal, and social needs of Boston Public Schools students since 1985 and 1988, respectively.
The mission of TAG | ALERTA is to ensure that Boston Public School Latinx students and English Language Learners excel academically, socially, and personally, to improve their ability to succeed in elementary school, middle school, high school, and at the post-secondary levels.
Located at UMass Boston, the TAG | ALERTA program, through the sponsorship of the Gastón Institute, the College of Education and Human Development, Boston Public Schools, Boston Beyond, and the TAG Association, Inc., partners with several elementary, middle, and high schools to offer holistic yearly programming to Latinx and Multilingual students.
