Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC)
The UMass Boston Institutional Biosafety Committee's (IBC) purpose is to protect the health of researchers and the community by assuring that biological research is conducted in compliance with federal and state laws.
All research (funded or non funded) that involves any biosafety level is required to apply to the IBC for review and approval. Questions may be directed to the IBC administrator.
