General Re-Enrollment Application 

• All returning students who left in Good academic standing, Warning, Probation, Extended Probation, or Alert and want to:
  - remain in the same major when they last attended
  - OR change to a new major in any college except for majors within CM or CNHS

Online Form for Undergraduate Studies (UGS) Re-Enrollment Application

• ALL returning students who were dismissed or suspended during their last attendance should complete this appeal form for committee review.

College of Management (CM) Re-Enrollment Application (MGT & IT/MGT) 

• Non- Management students who left in good academic standing and now want to change to a new major within the College of Management 
• Applications are accepted year-round, and must be submitted by the following

Deadlines:

• Fall semester: August 15 
• Spring semester: January 15 

College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CNHS) Re-Enrollment Application 

• Returning non-MCNHS degree-seeking students who want to declare a new major within MCNHS. Please note you must be in good academic standing to use this form.
• Former MCNHS majors who want to return after being out for 5 or more years. Student in MCHNS who have taken fewer than 5 years off, please use the General Re-Enrollment Application

Deadlines:

General Program Add/Change

• All programs/majors except College of Management and the College of Nursing and Health Sciences 
• Applications are accepted year round 

 Accelerated Master's Program 

• Current active, matriculated, undergraduate students who wants to indicate interest in an Accelerated Master’s Program (AMP)
• Credit minimums:
  • a.  at least 60 completed credits.
  • b.  Honors College students with at least 50 completed credits.
  • c.  Transfer students with at least 30 in-residence completed credits.
• Current students who wish to remove AMP interest from their undergraduate record
  • This does not update Graduate Admissions records if you have applied

College of Management Form 

• Non-Management students who want to declare a Management minor or a major within CM – Management or IT (CM)
• Current Management students who want to switch majors within CM – Management or IT (CM)
• Application Deadlines: August 15 for Fall and January 15 for Spring 
• Please note applications are accepted year round; however admission decisions are only made for fall and spring semesters

Admissions Criteria for Current UMass Boston students: 

The College of Management does not factor in the GPA earned at another college or university or grades from high school when making decisions in the major change process.

Entrance to the management major is granted for students who meet the following criteria:

• a UMass Boston cumulative GPA of 2.75 on regular coursework
• at least 12 college credits earned at UMass Boston as a full degree seeking student and have a letter grade assigned to them (i.e.: no "P" grades)*
• no incomplete grades ("INC") on their UMass Boston transcript

Entrance to the information technology major is granted for students who meet the following criteria:

• a UMass Boston cumulative GPA of 2.50 on regular coursework
• at least 12 college credits earned at UMass Boston as a full degree seeking student and have a letter grade assigned to them (i.e.: no "P" grades)*
• no incomplete grades ("INC") on their UMass Boston transcript

*Certain courses do not count in the credit totals for either major, including: all academic skills courses, ESL courses below ESL 101, PE activity courses and Freshman Studies Seminar (OCAS 100)

Please note that exceptions to the admission requirements are not made.

College of Management Concentration/Track Add/Change form

• Only for current degree-seeking Management students who want to declare or add an additional concentration or track.
• Applications are accepted year round

College Nursing and Health Sciences Form

• Non-Nursing students who want to declare a major within MCNHS
• Current MCNHS students who want to add or switch programs within the MCNHS
