Background
Dr. Romilla Syed studies the negative implications of emergent digital technology on individuals, businesses, and society at large. Her recent scholarship focuses on the security and privacy issues as well as the broader societal challenges due to digital transformation. She also studies how information technology design influences end-users’ perceptions about the technology to meet their idiosyncratic interests. Prior to pursuing doctoral studies, she worked as an IT consultant at Sapient Corporation and Mahindra British Telecom.
