As the Administrator Director for the Biology Department, within the College of Science and Mathematics, I provide professional support to the department chair by assisting with complex budget and grants administration and various human resources activities. I manage administrative operations of the department’s main office, including directly supervising staff, writing and implementing departmental policies and serving as the main point of contact for all administrative and academic issues within the department. I also provide financial support regarding all sponsored grant activities within the Biology Department and administer the departmental budget in support of teaching, research and graduate programs. I assist in and represent the Biology Department on committees and task forces requiring knowledge of corporate, foundation and federal funding agency policies, procedures, regulations and mechanisms.
