Dr. Hayman’s program of research and scholarship has focused on prevention of obesity and risk for cardiovascular disease (CVD) in children, adolescents and families. In collaboration with colleagues from several disciplines, her recent and ongoing clinical, community-based, and translational research includes life course behavioral medicine approaches to health promotion and disease prevention, and research and policy initiatives designed to reduce health disparities and promote health equity. She is also Adjunct Professor of Medicine, Division of Preventive and Behavioral Medicine, Department of Population and Quantitative Health Sciences, UMass Medical School.
