Profile
Professor Kafel’s interests and experience are in medical-surgical nursing and nursing education. Kathleen is available and has been a guest speaker at local vocational/technical high schools regarding careers in nursing. She regularly represents the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at information sessions and Welcome Day events. She is the director and coordinator of biannual presentations by Dedicated Educational Unit students at Brigham and Women’s, Massachusetts General Hospital and Good Samaritan Medical Center, which are directed towards the improvement of patient care, teamwork and collaboration and quality initiatives.
