Black Communities

Welcome to the online campus hub for resources, programs, and services to support Black students. This online space is a testament to a UMass Boston campus and community that seeks to be a supportive environment attentive to the needs of historically marginalized groups. Systemic oppression in legal, economic, educational, and healthcare systems has disproportionately disadvantaged Black individuals. Therefore, this resource hub aims to provide support and guidance for Black students in their educational and life journeys. It will be continuously updated and facilitated by a partnership of several offices, including the Division of Student Affairsthe Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Equity, and Inclusion; Career Services; the Trotter Institute; the Gastón Institute; and other relevant academic departments.

This page is part of a collection created to support our student populations. You can find a list of these pages, along with those currently in development, right here.
